Some people spend lots of money on brewing school to learn the craft of brewing. Melissa learned beer the other way: by brewing beer every day for the last decade. She started brewing part time then eventually quit her day job.
Homework: Visit and tour a brewery. During the tour volunteer to clean the mash tun.
Beer: Modelo in a can and mini Reeses Peanut Butter cups.
Special guests: Melissa the Brewer and Catherine.Â
Host: John Foster and Motor
I would give Brew A Career 10 stars on the Rockstar Bartender scale!
Not perfect, because as you know the Rockstar Bartender dial goes to 11, but very good indeed. Human interaction and camaraderie are what you and Motor do best.
Just thinking that with 38 women brewmasters out there, you could interview one female brewmaster a month and never run out of brewmasters. By the time you finished interviewing the first 38 due to the dramatic social impact this show has on the brewing community & society in general there would so many new female brewmasters to interview…
First time listening to the show. Enjoyed it. One thing about the Jolly Roger in Seattle, though. They kinda do take food seriously. I haven’t eaten there yet, but everyone tells me their food is by far the best of all the breweries here. Not surprising considering how mediocre it is at a lot of the other spots.
