Bass Ale, Sierra Nevada Pale and Full Sail Pale are fine examples of the style. This is the first show that singles out a specific beer style.

Homework in two parts:
Try a some different Pale Ales with you and your friends. Either at your local brewery, tap room or from bottles. Drunk dial Beer School and tell us what you think. 206-337-1233

MMMMM…….Sierra Nevada. That may be one of my epiphany beers. Good show, I really enjoyed looking at 3 different examples of the same style beer. I can’t wait to get started on my homework.

    Hi Guys

I am usually in the UK but I am currently listening to ‘Everyone Knows Your Name’ sat in sunny Naples, Florida. I got to try a few of the beers you have mentioned in the past like Negra Modelo, Anchor Liberty Ale and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. They were all excellent.

A few things confused me though. I accidentally picked up a box of Corona Light and I couldn’t tell if was alcohol free or just flavourless… It didn’t say what the ABV was on the bottle and I then noticed that lots of other bottles didn’t give the ABV anywhere on the bottle. Why is that?

That said, I am drinking a Red Hook IPA as I am listening now and it clearly says it has 6.5% ABV on the bottle so it can’t be a rule that you can’t state the ABV. Isn’t it a little dangerous to not state the ABV?

Having just read what I have written, I can’t believe how many times I have written ABV in this comment… ABV, ABV, ABV.

    Keep up the great lessons.
    James

I’ve been going back in the Beer School archives, and I just listened to “Pail of Pale” again. So, what happened to the planned trip to Chico? A show from the Sierra Nevada brewery would be awesome.

Isn’t the GABF in Colorado this year?
Maybe a pre-GABF trip can be made before the party starts.
