Great show guys.... I wish I could have been there. Thanks for addressing my question in the after show but I didn't get to listen to the show until I got home from the conference. So I didn't make it any of the recommended brew pubs in San Jose. The places we did end up going were, Gordon Biersch, and BJ's. BJ's had an interesting special brew that was their Irish Red and their Heffeweissen mixed together. We didn't even make in to the 21-A there just wasn't enough time.

Motor I appreciated the 356 discussion at the end of the after show. My dad has a 356 that has been through a ground up restoration. I'm hoping some day to inherit that car.

Sean- been through New England on two quick whirlwind trips- one a weeding in Sandwich MA, where I learned that Quahog clam is one of the tastiest things on earth, and a second staying in rural RI to go to a few Red Sox games, where I learned the best brewpub in Providence is the one near the strip club (it looked like the club's staff liked to have a beer or two before work) and that there is also a 21st Amendment in Boston, right next to the Statehouse.

We o need to do some looking for East Coast examples. I know Dogfish is seen in these parts, and I have a nice Vermont Brewing t-shirt.....wait! I've got a friend going out for the Giants-Red Sox series. I think I'll task him with a short shopping list.

Cheers! Glad you like the show.

I feel like I should win a prize for making it to the end of that podcast! Lots of fun to listen to though...just like drinking with you, minus the pesky urge to pee.

I am 2/3s thru the show so far and as a Massachusetts native, I felt I needed to chime in.
Patriots day is a Holiday that celebrates the "Shot Heard Round the World" or the first battle of the Revolutionary War at Lexington/Concord Massachusetts.
It is also the day the Boston Marathon is Run each year.
Much to my chagrin most people do not have the day off although it is a Union holiday. I personally worked but I managed to convince the people I work with the have lunch at the Local John Harvard's. Beer during work is GOOD.
I have also decided that we need a "City Beer" type establishment here in the greater Boston area. It sounds like an AWESOME place.
Although if it were here it would be Wicked Awesome, or possibly "wicked pissah"
Third, You need to see if you can find some Eastcoast examples for the future shows.

Fantastic Motor.

Will it also include the must do brewery tours such as Anchor, Russian River .... etc

Doc

PS: I'm really leaning towards hiring a car to get to RR :-)

Doc-

As I've promised in the episode that isn't uploaded as of SF Tuesday evening, I'm putting together a web page with all the beer spots worth listing around San Francisco, complete with three different levels of tourist: half-day business trip, with wife (or husband) and kied, or ful on beer tour.

For now, yeah, City Beerstore, then Toronado, then either Magnolia, 21st Amendment and Thirsty Bear, that's the top on the must-do list.

As for June 24, John doesn't tell me anything until the day of the show. ; )

Wow what a show.
I'll be in San Fran end of June, and I know where I'll be heading for some great beers for tasting late night in the hotel.
Any news on the show for Sunday the 24th June. I'll be kicking around looking for beer activites.

Brew on. Beers,
Doc (Sydney, Australia)

Great show guys, a little confusing at parts, but with that many people and that many beers it must have been like herding cats to get that show done. I have enjoyed every episode, yes including Rock* bartender.

Keep Drinking
