Beer festivals are a fun way to learn about different beers. A fest can be a lot of fun but it takes some preparation on your part to get the most out of them. Before you show up do a quick internet search so you know the details of the event.
Be sure to drink water, eat food, wear sun screen and have a plan to get home.
You feel obligated to drink the beer that you don’t like.
Don’t follow the crowd.
Taste to remember.
Take notes about the beers you are drinking.
Get the shirt if it’s cool.
Leave glassware behind.
Take lots of pictures.
Hi Gene.
Homework:
Find a festival and go to it.
Bonus home work!
Volunteer to help pour beer at your local festival.
Even more homework:
Throw your own beer festival in your back yard.

Great podcast!
I’m looking forward to attending the Emerald Coast Brew Festival in Pensacola, FL, in early September. Thanks for the tips!
Also, I was wondering if you could post a direct link to your shop at cafepress.com. Keep up the good work!
Always hit the Stone Brewing Anniversary Festival in September. Great beer, great food, great SoCal weather! John and Motor…if you guys come, I’ll buy your tickets!!!
There’s a festival where they’re putting up the tents but can’t go to it as I’m leaving the country.
I did however watch as the combine harvesters started collecting for future fermentation. Hope that counts.
