Zappa and the Three Beers

In the tradition of the show “Your Next Four Beers” we talk about the beer that you should try next. This time we pick beers that push you further from the beer that you might be drinking now.

Homework: While you might have trouble finding Russian River Redemtion finding Orval and Chimay should be easier. However we’re sorry that you won’t find Lagunitas ‘Kill Ugly Radio’ which commemorates the 40th anniversary of the second Zappa album at your local unless your local is around the Bay Area. It’s a “angry pale” that’s worthy of the Zappa heritage.

Other homework: Send us bootleg Zappa recordings.

I remember F troop from late nights on Nick @ Night.
Get Smart was also on the same channel. Which reminds me I need to pick up the Get Smart DVD collection.

It’s funny how Orval always surprises people. When they first had it on Craft Beer Radio they said something similar, that the beer must have gone bad in some way. Perhaps they should add to the label, “Dear podcasters: This beer contains Brettanomyces, and it is supposed to taste like this”.
I hope your research already made it clear. Orval is not a tripel, it’s just Orval. And deliciously so.

I think you’d be glad to know that “Kill Ugly Radio” is being distributed around the country.
I’ve got a bottle in the fridge that I brought back from Pensacola, FL.

    Thanks again for your podcasts!
